If you are planning to travel to Aviatex by car, entrance to the airport and the event parking areas is from Marion Street onto Airport Drive, with car parking areas located along Desoutter Street, Drover Road and Link Road.
There will be plenty of signage in place directing visitors to the car parking areas when you arrive.
If you are planning to travel to Aviatex by public transport, Bankstown Station is only a short bus ride to Bankstown Airport and Aviatex. Buses leave Bankstown Station for the airport every 15 minutes on week days and every 30 minutes on weekends. Simply hop off the bus at the Metro Airports Bankstown stop near the corner of Marion Street and Airport Avenue and follow the signs to Aviatex (approx 500m). Make sure you plan your trip before you go and check bus and train timetables by visiting www.transportnsw.info or by phoning 131 500.
To travel on the Sydney Transport network you will need an Opal Card. Opal cards can be obtained online at www.opal.com.au and are also available at all 7-Eleven stores across greater Sydney, newsagents, petrol stations, Woolworths, and some local corner stores. To find an Opal Card retailer near you, visit the Opal Card Retailers Page.
For more information about fares, visit the Opal Fares website.
If you are planning to fly in to attend Aviatex, the runway and taxiway plan below clearly shows the visiting aircraft parking area set aside for the event.
If you haven't flown into or out of Bankstown for some time, please make use of the Visual Flight Guides provided on the CASA OnTrack website.
